Director of Purchasing & Inventory
Uline, a leading international distributor of packaging & industrial supplies, seeks a Director of Purchasing & Inventory for their new Corporate Office in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin (south of Milwaukee).

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES / REQUIREMENTS:
 

Direct the national operations of the purchasing & inventory areas to assure seamless availability of all products to support the operational plans
 

Develop a supplier management program with key suppliers including metrics, performance goals & improvement initiatives
 

Insure consolidation & leverage of all common purchases to obtain highly leveraged contracts
 

Responsible for the management of the purchasing & inventory budgets & reduce / minimize the costs of all common materials & services
 

Lead efforts in contract negotiations on costs, business terms & provisions
 

Develop forecasts for future demand & place orders in a timely fashion based upon vendor lead-time
 

Build & maintain relationships with vendors (including plant visits)
 

Work with merchandising to solve vendor issues, vendor changes & potential product additions
 

Knowledge of inventory planning, forecasting techniques as well as operational systems
 

Direct & indirect material & services sourcing experience
 

10+ years experience in purchasing / inventory required
