How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Job Description Summary: The Commercial Business Developer develops extensive working relationships in order to maximize opportunities; develops personal relationships with higher level key customers; shares knowledge and experiences with peers; help develop the skills and talents of other project team members by acting as a coach and support the Product Management, Strategic Accounts, Regions and the World Market Groups in their initiatives.

  • Manage and takes lead role for the business development of on-site business opportunities using the Merchant On-sites product portfolio and supports development of Airgas merchant plants

  • Develop and implement geographic, market and product strategies for the Merchant On- sites business and support development of Airgas merchant plants

  • Understands competitors' offers, strategy and supply position in local markets and develops business development plans accordingly

  • Identify and/or generate well-qualified on-site business opportunities for industrial gases for growth of the business

  • Assess customer requirements, determines appropriate on-site solution and understand competition

  • Perform project economic feasibility studies and establish proposed pricing

  • Develop and present proposed projects to senior management for approval

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (chemical or mechanical), or equivalent

  • Minimum five years of business development and commercial experience

  • Innovative and adaptable attitude toward developing customer solutions

  • Ability to perform complex project economic evaluations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Business Administration or equivalent experience

  • Industrial gas experience a plus
