What we're seeking:
The Cyber Security Architect is responsible for assisting in the defining and delivering of Frontier Communications' security strategy and requirements. This will be accomplished by partnering with various internal and external organizations and subject matter experts to define the strategy and direction for products, standards, services, and security capabilities to enhance Frontier Communications' security and mitigate associated security risks across the organization.

The Security Architect will have demonstrated the ability to effectively communicate best practices as a member of cross-functional teams as well as acting as a lead member of the team as well as an individual contributor team leader.

Defines security plans and implementations by evaluating network, operating systems, and security technology as well as business drivers. Identifying requirements for networks and related security devices, define PKIs, to include us of certificate authorities.

Maintain job knowledge by staying current on emerging security trends and practices by participating in available educational opportunities, professional publications, or participating in professional organizations.

What you'll do:
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Act as the subject matter expert on security initiatives
  • Stay abreast of developments and trends in the Information Technology industry specifically as they relate to Information Security and be able to implement them into the overall security strategy and direction
  • Ability to manage projects as well as work as an individual contributor in a cross-functional environment
  • Prioritize multiple projects and deliver results within defined timelines
  • Demonstrated understanding of security architecture as it relates to physical, virtual, and cloud systems
  • Understanding of associated services, protocols, firewalls, routing, switching, data protection, infrastructure, IAM controls, network access control, monitoring, and detection

What background you should have:
  • BS in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related degree is strongly preferred
  • CISSP or similar industry-related certifications
  • Experience in implementing security management solutions and creating detailed documentation and diagrams
