Job Description

Position: Reliability Engineer

Primary Location: Riverton, Wyoming

Reports to: Plant Manager

Compensation: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 + bonus + benefits.

Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. More specific salary range for your preferred location can be discussed during the hiring process. Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, benefits, pension contributions or additional incentives

About This Role and You

The Reliability Engineer at our Riverton, WY Ultra-Pure sulphuric acid production facility will be part of a team that meets the needs for producing highly specialized materials, supporting a rapidly growing semiconductor manufacturing industry, that will be highly dynamic over the next decade.

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for improving the facility's manufacturing performance (OEE) by reducing equipment downtime and unscheduled maintenance through improved equipment reliability, development, and implementation of improvement projects. The Reliability Engineer will support and participate in the Responsible Care Program to ensure safe working conditions.

Qualifications

    Preferred - Bachelor of Science in Mechanical from an ABET accredited university Chemical Engineer, Industrial and Civil engineers considered with reliability experience.
  • At least 5-7 years minimum experience in a reliability or maintenance setting in any of the following industries: Chemical, Oil Refinery, Power, or Pulp and Paper.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to "adjust on the fly" to changing priorities
  • Good interpersonal skills - ability to motivate others to exceed expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, update policies and procedures and oversee the site's mechanical integrity program which includes Vibration Analysis, RCFA, Oil Analysis, Infrared Analysis, and other developing reliability programs.
  • Accountable for reliability metrics such as plant availability, and for completing many of the action items from the corporate database.
  • Identify and quantify the stake for reliability issues. Lead root cause analysis of equipment failures, communicate finding, and implement long term solutions.
  • Establish and/or maintain inspection, test, preventive and predictive maintenance plan for all process and auxiliary plant equipment.
  • Provide technical assistance for assigned capital projects from conception and/or design through estimation, bid reviews, installation, contractor management and maintenance engineering support.
  • Assist Maintenance Planner and Supervisor by analyzing work orders to enable best utilization of maintenance labor and resources. Ensure tasks are executed at the most effective time to improve availability and reliability.
  • Perform troubleshooting of plant process and/or equipment issues and lead group troubleshooting efforts.
  • Develop and implement reliability work procedures/standard operating and Maintenance procedures
  • Update site PID's, equipment drawings/maintenance files, spec sheets.
  • Work with the SPPC's reliability team to learn and share key learnings
