Essential Functions:

• Develop ETL and data pipelines considering how data is created, transformed, maintained, stored, archived, analyzed, and shared across Western Alliance Bank and our partners.
• Implement built-in quality and compliance- by-design in all data solutions.
• Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to gain a working understanding of business requirements and operational processes.
• Participate in testing, deployment, production support activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience in data management and/or data analytics
• 8+ years' experience with data engineering specifically in Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) concepts and processes, enterprise data warehouse capabilities, database principles, and other related tools and technologies; preferably strong to expert level skills in SSIS and Azure Data Factory
• Expert level experience SQL Server T-SQL
• Understanding of Azure, Azure Data Engineering techniques and Azure DevOps
• Experience in conceptual, logical, and physical data design
• Exposure to Object Oriented Programming using C#/Java/ Python
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with for AML Platforms like Actimize
• Experience integrating with data quality, data catalog and data lineage tools.
• Banking or financial services industry experience or other highly regulated industry experience
• Experience in Agile, and/or Scrum
