Position Summary:
The function of the Component Manufacturing Lead is to effectively lead a group of Technicians within the operation under the direction of the Component Area Manager or Supervisor in a progressive build environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
*Support area manager in establishing standards, methods, and processes as required.
*Oversee technicians and manufacturing process in pursuit of overall quality and cost reduction with adherence to established standards, methods, and procedures.
*Assist in troubleshooting operational issues at each process.
*Perform specific shift tasks related to work area preparation and end of shift work area cleaning and organizing.
*Monitor productivity and escalate any issues affecting efficiency to the supervisor in a timely fashion.
*Make suggestions for overall product quality and cost improvements.
*Oversee area operations in the absence of the Area Supervisor.

Education and/or Experience:
*High School Diploma or GED required - extra schooling in related fields preferred; 2+ years in a high-power assembly environment.
*Good communication skills; Must be able to work well in a team environment.
*Some lead or supervisory experience preferred.
*Experience in bringing up of new assembly lines preferred.
*Knowledge of standard assembly tools, including air tools, electric drivers, torque tools, and crimp tools.
*Workers are expected to help meet and exceed predetermined daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
*Experience with standard office computer programs to record assembly activities and reference assembly instructions.
*Experience dealing with multiple simultaneous tasks and requirements.
*Must be able to follow established safety procedures.
*Some travel may be required.

Working Conditions:
*Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
*Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds.
*Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
