What this role is all about:

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician in Jerome, ID. The Maintenance Technician I performs routine and break down maintenance on processing and packaging equipment, and is responsible for keeping the plant running and in compliance with all rules and regulations by using safe methods of equipment repair/upkeep.

  • Starting pay $26.25
  • $1.50 shift premium for night shift
  • Double-time on Sunday's
  • Monday - Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM
  • Efficiently perform regular and preventative maintenance related to the plant, equipment, and grounds in compliance with standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices, and safety policies as enforced by OSHA.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment during the production process as needed.
  • Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.

What you need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude required.

Where you'll be working:

Our Jerome, ID, plant is home to approximately 400 employees and processes approximately 7 million pounds of milk per day. This facility produces various types of cheeses, such as; mozzarella, cheddar, provolone, muenster, parmesan, romano, Monterey jack, gouda, and asiago. They also run various whey streams, such as; deproteinized whey, sweet dairy whey, GMP, permeate, instantized, and our top-rated BiPro products.
