Overview

The Desktop Technician I is responsible for the installation and configuration of all desktop infrastructure including but not limited to corporate standard hardware, software applications, operating system images, maintenance and support in concert with the technology strategy, direction, and standards established by the Information Technology (IT) Department.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in IT or related field of study and one (1) year IT related experience or HS Diploma/GED and then five (5) years' IT related experience.
* Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
* Must have strong troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to follow defined processes and procedures.
* Ability to work independently to carry out special projects.
* Experience with software distribution systems is preferred.
* Experience troubleshooting Windows operating systems, software, hardware and peripherals.
* Experience with Active Directory and Group Policies.
* Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
