Who we are looking for:
Atkore, a recipient of a Great Place to Work certification and a Top Workplaces USA award, is searching for a Millwright/Maintenance Technician to be based out of our Phoenix, AZ facility. Reporting to the shift supervisor, this person will be broad responsibility for troubleshooting, performing preventative maintenance, and working on a variety of different equipment. This person will need to work with the production and maintenance team to communicate issues and ensure quality production.
What you'll do:
- Install, maintain, modify, and repair all mechanical systems and associated equipment.
- Inspect, test, and troubleshoot components of mechanical systems, including pumps, valves, and associated piping.
- Inspect, test, and troubleshoot components of mechanical power presses and associated support equipment.
- Inspect, test, and troubleshoot components of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Utilize blueprints and manufacturers' installation manuals to complete assigned projects.
- Align and calibrate machinery and equipment parts as required for efficient and safe operation.
- Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs.
- Must maintain production standards to meet internal and external customer demand.
- Responsible for the accurate completion of all paperwork, transactions, tags, etc.
- Adhere to all Life Saving Rules, including Lock-Out, Tag-Out (LOTO), Machine Guarding/Bypassing Safety Controls, and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) safety protocols
- Ensure Safety, Delivery, Quality, and Cost metrics are met daily.
- Support 5S initiatives in assigned work areas.
- All other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Five years of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Basic math and verbal skills.
- Ability to learn to use and maintain equipment and machinery.
- Ability to follow standard work processes and operate with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to lead, assist, and/or instruct employees in the performance of their duties, as requested.
- Flexibility of shift scheduling, to include overtime and weekends.

- Must possess a positive attitude, be a team player, and have strong work ethic.
Within 3 months, you'll:
- Complete initial training.
- Be able to troubleshoot production issues and support maintenance needs for operations.
- Assist production teams to ensure production areas are operating, preventative maintenance is completed, and down time is minimized.
