- First-time traveler: Upon review

- Patient Types:
- Anybody having general anesthesia. All surgeries except craniotomies and open hearts, ICU hold overs
- Patient Ratios:
- ASPN guidelines
- Required Certifications:
- BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Skills required
- PACU experience recovering a wide range of patient types, Critical care or ED experience
- Support on the Unit:
- Charge RN: no patients
- Bedside monitoring
- Phlebotomy/RN draw blood
- RT
- Hospitalist
- Charting System/Equipment:
- EPIC
- Alaris
- Pyxis
- Scheduling:
- Weekend rotation: strong weekend program
- Will not have to work weekends unless they is the contract they are filling

- Client adheres to a "fatigue policy" where all staff, including travelers, cannot work more than 60 hours in a week or 5 consecutive 12 hour shifts

- Must document pain level, before and after (1 hour for oral) giving pain medications - The pain score must also meet the pain score with nth medication order-i.e. if a patient has a score of 8, the RN cannot give the Tylenol that is ordered for mild 1-3. The RN must call for an order if the patient wants Tylenol for the score of 8.
