Position Overview:

The Semi-Truck Driver will haul heavy equipment and miscellaneous support equipment to and from job sites. The Semi-Truck Driver is a full-time position that requires overtime through peak season, reports to the Equipment Manager, and will have no supervisory responsibility.

Essential Duties and Functions:
  • Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects
  • Haul concrete paving equipment and miscellaneous support equipment
  • Maintain vehicles in a clean, organized, and safe manner
  • Perform maintenance on assigned trucks and other equipment as needed
  • Complete pre and post-shift inspections and assist with equipment repairs as needed
  • Set up and tear down job sites when moving to and from locations (as needed)
  • Record any maintenance issues in the truck logbook and ensure the supervisor is aware of any maintenance issues that would inhibit work production or create safety concerns
  • Properly secure loads to meet laws and safety regulations
  • Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.e. work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours)
Position Requirements:
  • Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen and drug test
  • Consent to authorization of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record request
  • Experience with heavy haul loads
  • Class A CDL
  • Clean DMV record
  • Basic maintenance skills
  • Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal
