The Lake Terrace Convention Center opened its doors in July of 1998, growing the Pine Belt economy and invigorating its residents. Since the first day of the center's existence, 1.5 million people from around the state and country have walked through the doors and lived the Lake Terrace experience. Their patronage of the Center has generated many new dollars for our local economy, creating a positive ripple effect of $254 million.

Lake Terrace has proven itself not only in the Hattiesburg community, but also throughout the southeastern United States. ConventionSouth Magazine has named Lake Terrace Convention Center the Best of the Best on eleven consecutive occasions.

Lake Terrace began as a dream shared by a few Pine Belt community leaders. Their vision was of a place that could handle the largest and most sophisticated of events, while showcasing Hattiesburg's hospitality and quality of life. They saw not only a building but also a catalyst for economic and cultural growth. Indeed, with each passing day and successful event, they are continually proven right.
