This is an internship position with the possibility to grow within the company and towards an A&D outsides sales position.
Main Duties:
Will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations at the Chicago Showroom and also assist walk-in customers.
Work with local managers and the marketing department in Miami in the coordination of regular events in the showroom for the A&D community
Will be assigned to certain A&D accounts to manage, which will require follow-up calls, review of current specifications and orders, assisting with product questions, sampling, etc.
Other Duties:
Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner
Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions
Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications
Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items.
Keep the CRM updated on existing accounts or if any new account is created (contacts, customer visit report, etc.)
Make sure that any new specification or project is registered in our CRM
Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
Provide accurate information regarding pricing and availability
Fill requests for catalogs, information or samples
Obtain accurate information from customer service or logistics in regards to shipment dates and expected date of delivery.
Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed
Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaint
Remain current on consumer preferences, changes in local codes and product developments by attending sales meetings, vendor training and trade shows, or reading trade journals
Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction
Communicate to management unexpected increases or decreases in demand for products
Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the team
Maintain proficiency in using personal computer, data entry terminal and other common office equipment and software
Follow company policies and procedures
Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors
Perform other duties as assigned
